Meh it just doesn’t work well for me, but it helps other students so that’s amazing.Īs for how mine will compare, I’m not trying to replace it.

The ‘updates’ aren’t even updated content just updated tags. I’ve tried it out but I ran into the same FOMO problem of trying to study all the cards from all the decks (Zanki, Pepper, Dorian, etc), so I might as well have chosen an original deck anyway. It’s a fantastic endeavor and I respect it’s goal, but it’s not an original deck and it basically smashes all the real decks into one and slaps a name on it so it gets recognition (and an extra line on ERAS). tbh I’m not a big fan of AnKing’s overhaul. Let me know if y'all have any suggestions/complaints/errors. My brain also tends to be able to learn and remember abbreviations faster and better. Most of them are ones that I've seen used in our hospital and notes. Tags are hierarchical by Subject (Medicine, Surgery, etc) > System (Cardiovascular, Nervous, etc) > Topic.Īnother thing, I added a ton of abbreviations. I did this so I could more easily notice and remember patterns.

Sorry if you don't like it, but it's how I connect the brand names we use in our hospital to the generic name we learn for Steps), cloze 5 is management (that's not a specific medication), cloze 6 is investigations (or anything to aid in diagnosing), and cloze 7 is microbiology (specific names/groups only). In short, cloze 1 is diagnoses, cloze 2-3 are associated conditions/signs, cloze 4 is pharmacology (with brand names. It's how I learn best, so hopefully, it works for some of you. Since I've gotten a few DMs asking for any news, I've decided to forgo my previous 'I want to wait to release the whole thing all at once' thing and release what I've got so far, so anybody who's interested in it will know what I did and see what it's like.īasically, I took each objective and cloze'd the **** out of it, but in a systematic way. I also had a ton of personal stressors (thanks, COVID) that I just recently recovered from so I'm now back on the grind and will be attempting to finish the deck ASAP. I had been working on one for myself, but in my stupidity, somehow I lost it/messed it up and had to start over from scratch. I posted a spreadsheet a few months ago that had all (now ~3800) UWorld CK questions' educational objectives and a lot of people were wanting an Anki deck made out of it. There are 962 notes (for 962 questions/objectives) and 2,874 cards. I did these first because they were the most covered by UW (highest # of questions for the Medicine). This first version has Medicine's Nervous, Cardiovascular, Pulmonary, Infectious, Gastrointestinal, and Rheumatology systems.
#STEP 2 CK ANKI DECK FULL#
For personal reasons and stressors, I was unable to finish the full deck in time, but I am back on the grind and I plan to release updates every week or so to eventually complete the deck.
